Division of Public Health Funding Overview

Each year the Idaho Legislature approves the budget for the Division of Public Health
through the process known as Appropriation. The Division of Public Health has five appropriation structures:
- Physical Health Services
- Emergency Medical Services
- Laboratory Services
- Suicide Prevention & Awareness
- Healthcare Policy Initiatives

- Personnel – funding for workforce wages and benefits
- Operating – funding for administrative and service functions
- Capital – funding for buildings, property, or equipment
- Trustee and Benefits – funding that is passed through to partners through agreements
